One day I was sitting in the window, enjoying my cup of tea, when suddenly my phone bell rang. That call was from my little cousin, Pranav. I picked up the phone, and we started talking: How’s the aunty? How’s the uncle? and blah, blah, blah.
In the middle of a typical desi conversation, he asked me a question. A serious career question, Dee How can I switch to the IT field? and here I was shocked. Yeah, generally, I hear this type of question from some of my friends. But my cousin, who just completed a D-Pharmacy in the medical field, I could not answer him properly, so I just gave him some advice like, Dude! You can go with “medical coding” ,but I don’t have deep knowledge about it because this profile also doesn’t belong to IT. After the call, my hand automatically grabbed the mouse, and my keyboard started typing. Why is everyone switching to an IT career?
As a software engineer, it is my right to know why everyone is switching to IT. After a lot of research and experience. In our IT menu card, there are a huge number of different kinds of profile dishes available, like system administrator, security manager, project manager, support engineer, HR, software tester, business analyst, full stack developer, front end developer, back end developer again in front end, java script developer, css,Vue.js developer, in back end, java developer, dot net developer, and MVC developer. So you can go with any dish you want. I came up with three reasons why everyone is switching.
- N number of opportunities:
I am sure you checked the menu card for IT and their dishes too. And these dishes are available for you. Yes, the job openings for all these profiles come in on a daily basis. Just take some short-term certification courses and become a master of your favorite skill. And the job is yours.
2. Work from home:
Work from home for IT people is like the cherry on top of a cake. You don’t have to wake up early, you don’t have to do breakfast in a hurry, and plus you can work in your comfortable homie clothes. On the other hand, if you are in another field, like medical, you have to go to the hospital and check patients physically, or if you are an electrical engineer, you have to check which wire is not working properly, but in the IT field, if you have a big problem, you can just say “SIR, GIVE ME YOUR ANY DESK ID”.
3. Money Power:
Last but not least, the money power The income potential in IT is another significant benefit. Even entry-level positions in the field start out with a fair salary; you’ll earn more as you advance in experience.
In conclusion, If you want to switch to IT, you need to be adaptable and willing to learn new things. If you have a passion for technology and can solve problems creatively and with a fresh mind, You are always welcome in IT.
