The pandemic affected everyone’s life. Unfortunately, Some people lost their jobs, and some people lost their lives too. It felt like the whole world was collapsing. Everyone was trying to balance their mental health, physical health, and financial condition.
In my situation I recently got my first job as a software developer at a good company. As a professional, I recently came up with the idea of #WorkFromHome concept. I started working from home right after 20 days of joining the company. That time I was also serious about my career, as I was going to keep my foot in the real professional world for the very first time. I did work-from-home more than 10 months for that company.
I think I may have seen this crisis as an opportunity to learn more about software programming. Even I adopted a new normal lifestyle. Because of this, I became a hard worker, A great time manager, and more productive. I also learned lessons, including the importance of regularly taking knowledge of technological advancements, Staying up-to-date, exploring new communication tools, having work flexibility, and the importance of self-care. The most important thing I have learned during the pandemic is “self-taught”. At that time, my company did not provide much more training because of some circumstances. So I learned each and every programming language, like C#, MVC, and Javascript by myself. I explored a lot of technical books too. I also managed to do work under certain pressure and deadlines. It improved my patience level, focus, and presence of mind.
Because of work from home, I gave more time to my family and my personal space. I managed to achieve work-life balance. So for me, COVID-19 was the learning phase of my life. It improves many aspects of my professional life.
